Welcome to PSHE and RSHE!
At the Village Saints Partnership, our Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) and Relationships and Sex Education (RSHE) curriculum is designed to nurture safe, healthy, and responsible young citizens. In line with the September 2026 Statutory RSHE Guidance, we focus on fostering positive attitudes, emotional resilience, and healthy norms. We aim to empower our pupils with the literacy, awareness, and relational skills they need to navigate their lives seamlessly both on and offline.
To deliver an exceptional, age-appropriate curriculum, we strictly follow the highly regarded Cambridgeshire Primary Personal Development Programme.
Our full statutory framework is open and transparent. You can view and download our complete Grace Schools Relationships and Sex Education Policy (2026–2029) directly from our website.
Our Four Core Strands
Our curriculum is meticulously sequenced into four progressive entitlement frameworks across every year group from EYFS to Year 6:
-
Myself and My Relationships: Developing self-esteem, identifying and managing complex feelings, and building kind, caring friendships. Pupils learn vital skills in assertiveness and managing conflict.
-
Healthy and Safer Lifestyles: Exploring physical health, healthy eating, the risks of vaping, and modern digital safety. This includes updated age-appropriate units on personal travel safety (water, roads, and railways) and accurate terminology for body parts.
-
Citizenship: Respecting diversity, exploring rights and responsibilities, and understanding our roles within the local community and the wider world.
-
Economic Wellbeing: Building foundational financial capability, understanding work, and identifying how to manage resources safely.
At our Schools, You Will See:
-
A Safe, Supportive Environment: A positive learning space where pupils have the confidence to ask questions, respectfully challenge information, and express their views.
-
A Positive, Protective Approach: We completely avoid fear-based or shock tactics. Instead, lessons focus proactively on what children can do to keep themselves and others safe.
-
Systematic, Inclusive Sequencing: Content is carefully mapped to meet children where they are, ensuring absolute transparency with parents and full inclusivity for all diverse family structures.
-
Critical Thinking Tools: Interactive learning models—including circle time and collaborative scenarios—help pupils build long-term schemas for real-world application.
💬 Our Pupils:
